IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - LAST DATE FOR COMPLETING THE ONLINE APPLICATION FORM EXTENDED TO 19th, DECEMBER, 2014 FOR MASTER'S PROGRAMMES ADMISSIONS 2015 -2017

All applicants for Master's Programmes please note that the LAST DATE OF APPLICATION AND FORM COMPLETION HAS BEEN EXTENDED. Please check the below table for revised dates.

Please Note - New registrations will close by 12th December, 2014. Candidates who have registered can complete their application form by 19th December 2014, 6:00 PM.

INCOME CERTIFICATE NOTIFICATION FOR RESERVE CATEGORY CANDIDATES

 

Reserve category candidates who are facing issues in getting the required financial year's (2013 - 2014) Income Certificate can temporarily upload the valid Income Certificate issued by the Authorised Issuing Authority for Financial year 2012 - 2013.

These candidates who are uploading backdated (2012 - 2013) financial year's Income Certificate will get time upto 31st January 2015 to mail the required financial year's (2013 - 2014) Income Certificate on the following email ID : shinde@tiss.edu

Candidates who fail to email the required financial year's (2013 - 2014) valid Income Certificate by 31st January 2015 will NOT be allowed to sit for the Pre-Interview Test/GD & Personal Interview examination.

Candidates are requested to email the following details along with the required financial year's (2013 - 2014) Valid Income Certificate in the following format :

MODIFICATION / UPDATE IN TISS NET 2015 EXAM FORMAT

 

1. CANDIDATES WHO HAVE OPTED FOR HRMS PROGRAMME :

Candidates who have opted for the HRMS programme will have NEGATIVE MARKING.

Their question paper sections will have headings as HRMS - General Awareness ; HRMS - Mathematical & Logical Reasoning ; HRMS - English Proficiency.

Note : 0.25 NEGATIVE MARKING for every incorrect answer

2. CANDIDATES WHO HAVE OPTED FOR OTHER THEN HRMS PROGRAMME :

Candidates who have opted for Other then HRM Programme will have NO NEGATIVE MARKING.

Their question paper sections will have headings as General Awareness ; Mathematical & Logical Reasoning ; English Proficiency.

Note : There is NO NEGATIVE MARKING for Non - HRMS candidates

3. CANDIDATES WHO HAVE OPTED FOR HRMS + OTHER PROGRAMMES :

Candidates who have opted for HRMS + Other Programmes will have 2 parts in their paper.

Multiple Choice Questions and Options will be SAME in HRMS and Non HRMS sections.

These candidates have to mark answers in both the parts for SAME set of questions and options, however HRMS section will have a NEGATIVE MARKING and Non HRMS section will NOT HAVE NEGATIVE MARKING.

PART - 1 [HRMS Section]

HRMS - General Awareness ; HRMS - Mathematical & Logical Reasoning ; HRMS - English Proficiency

PART - 2 [Non HRMS Section]

General Awareness ; Mathematical & Logical Reasoning ; English Proficiency

Note : You will get 2 scores [ 1 score for HRMS Section which will have 0.25 negative marking for every incorrect answer and 1 score for other programmes without negative marking ]

Only these candidates who have chosen HRMS + Other Programme will get 20 mins extra to mark their answers. Hence the TOTAL TIME available to them will be 120 minutes

Please Note : Multiple Choice Questions and Options will be same in HRMS and Non HRMS sections.

The ONLY DIFFERENCE in both sections will be that 'HRMS' will have NEGATIVE MARKING where as 'Non HRMS' will NOT HAVE NEGATIVE MARKING.

 

About TISS

The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) was established in 1936, as the Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work to meet the emerging need for trained human service professionals. TISS was one of the earliest institutions to be recognised as an institution Deemed to be University in 1964 to further teaching and research in the inter-disciplinary areas of Social Sciences. TISS is a centrally funded public university with the entire plan and non-plan grants provided by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Government of India (GoI) since 1964.

In 2009, the NAAC re-accredited TISS and placed it in Grade ‘A’ with a score of 3.88 out of 4—the second highest amongst all universities accredited by NAAC until now.
